PROJECT ONE
Ludgrove School
Four synthetic grass court resurface for tennis and multi-use
Ludgrove School were looking to resurface their four old worn out synthetic grass courts with a new surface that could also double up for multi-use.
We successfully resurfaced the courts at the school over the summer holiday period with a Tiger Turf synthetic grass, completing the works on time ready for the pupils return.
We have since gone on to help the school maintain the courts. Malcolm Heppolette the Estate Manager there commented on how well the project went and that he would happily recommend us to any prospective clients.
Thornden School
Three court resurface synthetic grass

Thornden School in conjunction with Thornden Tennis club there had four macadam courts and a block of mini courts that were showing their age and starting to break up and were looking to resurface them again with macadam.
We were recommended to them and carried the resurfacing of all of the courts there. We worked closely with the school to minimise any disruption. We also changed the tennis court colours to green inner and blue outer which really made the courts stand out.
The school and club were very happy with the work and we were complimented the newly laid courts by Lindsay Ross from the club.
PROJECT TWO
Halton Tennis Club
Six courts resurfacing synthetic clay
Halton Tennis Club have been one of our best clients over the years. Having carried out the resurfacing of ten courts for them previously over the years we were the preferred contractor for the resurfacing of six of the old synthetic grass courts, as they wanted to change these to synthetic clay.
The choice was Lano Grand Clay 12 which we have laid for them previously. Nick Leighton from the club was our contact there as he had been the years previously and once again he commended us on as great job for the club.
PROJECT THREE
Croxley Tennis Club
Six courts synthetic grass resurface
Croxley Tennis Club had six courts which we resurfaced with Tiger Turf Advantage Pro synthetic grass. They opted for a more unusual green and rust colour scheme.
Mike Coster from the club has since used us to carry out the maintenance of the courts as we carried out such a good installation for them. All their courts are now synthetic grass which is a really good option for a club for club tennis.
PROJECT FOUR
Private Client
New build Buckinghamshire synthetic grass
After extensive research our client in Buckinghamshire chose 1st-Surface for their new build tennis court, with the surface being Tiger Turf Advantage Pro. They also had the more ornate finial fencing, the works were very extensive with a large cut to solid in to chalk.
We spread the chalk dug out in the field and then covered this with topsoil. The court was built in a field and the planning which was secured by Mark Jarman, who we have worked with for many years was not easy to secure.

The clients were very happy to with the court for not only tennis, but also for multi-use. Synthetic grass is an excellent option where the client is looking to play tennis and other sports.
PROJECT FIVE
Private Client
New build synthetic grass
Having successfully built and then maintained a court for this client in Marlow over the years we were the natural choice for their new court in Hampstead. As you can imagine planning was not easily secured and we faced a challenging access down the side of the, which was no wide than 900mm.
The surface chosen was Tiger Turf Advantage Pro in standard green, which was one of the planning stipulations that the surface looked more like grass and was porous. The works were carried out, working closely with the clients landscaping team to produce a first class court that the clients are very happy with.
We have now been engaged by the client to maintain this court for them annually to ensure it remains in top condition.
