Pickleball & Padel Courts
Compact Courts With a Wide Appeal
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing racket sports in the world, combining elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. The game is played on a 6.1m x 13.4m court surface, typically constructed in tarmac or acrylic systems, using a perforated polymer (airflow) ball and solid-faced composite paddles.
Having been the fastest-growing sport in the United States for four consecutive years, pickleball is now experiencing significant growth across the UK. Its broad appeal and accessibility have made it a popular addition to sports facilities of all types.
Pickleball can be played as singles or doubles, with doubles being particularly popular. The compact court dimensions and lightweight ball make the sport easy to learn and enjoyable for players of all ages and abilities. As a result, pickleball courts are an excellent investment for private residences, schools, leisure centres and sports clubs seeking to maximise participation and court usage.
We offer a complimentary site survey and detailed quotation for pickleball court construction projects across the South East of England.
Padel Continues to Grow
Padel is a fast-growing, high-energy sport that blends the tactical elements of tennis with the dynamic rebound play of squash. The game is played on a 20m x 10m enclosed court featuring an artificial grass surface, panoramic glass walls, and powder-coated steel mesh fencing. A slightly lower net than tennis is used, along with pressurised tennis balls and solid, stringless composite or carbon fibre rackets.
Designed primarily for doubles play, padel’s court dimensions and pace naturally encourage teamwork and strategic positioning. The scoring system mirrors that of traditional tennis, making it immediately familiar and accessible to new players.
A defining feature of padel is the integration of the surrounding walls into active play. After the ball has bounced, it may rebound off the glass or mesh walls, extending rallies and adding a tactical dimension to the game.
